Noragami Review; 8th

Now, now… so this is what really happen to a master when the shinki is doing bad things. I pity Yato so much that it hurts me too, seeing him in serious pain caused by Yukine’s rebellion. *sorry, I’m being too emotional here, =’( this episode, I think, is already at climax stage because from a trusted source, Noragami has only twelve episodes exclude the OVAs. 

Since last week, we have been seeing the conflict happened between Yato and Yukine. And this week, too, is a rough and tough one. The scenes this time mostly in the school ground. Why? This is because Yato receives a request from a student who is bullied in the school. His name is Ogiwara Manabu from class 2-A. His classmates seem to harassing him frequently without limits especially during break time. There is no wonder he hides in the girl’s toilet since that would probably the safest place for him to escape from being bullied. 

 

This boy is the same age as Yukine. Yukine gets annoyed at Manabu when he said he hated the place (school) where he studies and wishes to go elsewhere. Of course that’s what a victim of bully feels and thinks. When Yato told him not to get annoyed, Yukine gets angry and blurts at Yato saying he doesn’t know anything about him and leaves. As for Manabu, Yato gives him a penknife as he whispers something in his ears making Hiyori questions him on what he intended to do by giving a dangerous weapon. It is just a trick, I would say, for Yato to see how Manabu will react later whether he will fall into the bad path or  vice versa. In the end, Manabu manages to control his mind from being possessed by the whispers of the ayakashi and he also manages to make the person who bully him; peed in his pant! Lol! 

Later, Yukine enters a class where he sees a lot of students in his age are in. He even tries on a school uniform and answers a question in a book. That is the time he feels that the world is so unfair and starts to rebel. He uses a bat to smash the windows and pieces of glass windows shattered everywhere causing chaos in the school building. The drastic change in Yukine’s behaviour causing Yato in a deep sharp pain that stings his body and his heart. He hurts really badly and the blight starts to spread through his body. Hiyori who was with him at that time was so shocked and got the blight herself when she touched Yato and felt the feeling how Yato has been enduring the pain for so long. It's a bit weird and funny how she lifted Yato's jersey and shirt wanting to see the blight that Kazuma told her before. Haha...

Yukine was really surprised to see Hiyori carrying Yato and to see both of them affected by the blight. He somehow, I assumed, feels guilty after hearing from Hiyori what could have caused Yato becoming like that.  Hoping that Daikaku and Kofuku could help Yato, Hiyori and Yukine bring him to them. However, it turns the other way round. Daikoku at instant creates a borderline. Hiyori begs them to help Yato who is about to die if nobody helps him.

I was also surprised that Kofuku and Daikoku did that to Yato after all I thought that they have a good relationship unlike the relationship tha Yato has with Bishamon. But for sure, both of them were surprised just like Hiyori and Daikoku just wanted his master to stay away from them so that she will not be affected as well. I think what triggers Yukine to behave like that is because the feeling of wanting to have a normal life that he has been longing for so long. He wants to have friends, playing together with them, having an enjoyable conversation, going back together after school and doing other activities a teenager at his age would do. He has been longing for that and he never had the chance to experience all of it. Because of this complicated feeling; sadness mixed with anger; it’s not Yukine who gets the suffering. Instead, Yato is the one who suffers. I really can’t wait to see the next episode because the preview really gives me the curiosity of what will happen to Yato, Yukine and Hiyori.

Noragami preview on Episode 9

Another thing I wanted to share in this post is that do you guys realised that there’s a little changes among the characters appearing in the opening video in this episode. Can you guys spot the difference and tell who are they? Because I can! Ta-daa~!

There are two. The characters are Yato, Nora and Rabuo. From Episode 1 until episode 7, Nora is pairing with Yato and Yato is facing with Nora but in this episode, Nora is pairing with Rabuo and Yato is facing with Rabuo. ^^, 

 

Also, in this episode, when Bishamon visited Kofuku, three of her shinkis were not there. They are Yugi(ha), Karu(ha) and Kazu(ha) *the names are the shinki form.

Kofuku looks really k-o-w-a-i-i when she warned Bishamon about the fight between her and Yato. Even Kazuma looks a bit uneasy when both of them talk debate about Yato. Known as the Goddess of War, of course, making Daikoku afraid of facing Bishamon. What's more, she brings along her shinkis to meet Kofuku as to request the location of ayakashi.
