Noragami: 10th Review

GOMENASAI~!!! Rabuo isn’t the shinki whom Yato slayed afterall. Instead, to my surprise, he is the God of Calamity~! I really should have not made that conclusion. Sumimasen deshita! Rabuo wa ne, he is a god who listens to people’s wishes… he kills ayakashi, hito, and kamisama. True, Nora is the one who woke him and so she is his shinki. Rabuo called her Reiki.Of course we all know that she has more than one name but Reiki is a name given by Rabuo to her.

I think that Nora is just jealous of Hiyori since she is always with Yato and Yukine. She blamed Hiyori for making Yato weak as a God and she should not be existed. One reason she gave to Hiyori is that “I don’t like you.” But that - I called ‘j-e-a-l-o-u-s’ from my own view. Jealous here means Nora wanted Yato to be his old-self how he used to be the God of Calamity and when he met Hiyori, he suddenly became someone else. Just because Yato rejected her in Episode 7 and chose Yukine instead so she must’ve frustrated. And so that is why she called out for Rabuo, the long time abandon God. She even made Hiyori forgets about Yato and Yukine. Supposed, Yato and Yukine were meeting Hiyori at the shrine during New Year’s Eve but Hiyori surprisingly, did not recognise or remember neither one of them.
 

Now… this Rabuo-sama tte, he does resembles God of Calamity if compare to Yato. Hmm… maybe because Yato wears jersey, lol! The scorpion-like ayakashi that both Yato and Yukine cut in this episode actually belong to Rabuo. His objective was very clear; wanting to see Yato’s strength and how far Yukine’s ability can slash the ayakashi. He was also eager to kill Hiyori but Nora stopped him saying that she could still be useful. 

After the ablution ceremony, Yukine swore on his name, ‘Yuki’ to protect his master in front of Mayu and Hiyori. Do you know what Yukine’s ability is that everyone is impressed of? Despite of being a teenager, he is able to cut ties without making any mistakes. It is said that cutting ties or severing bond is much harder than making one. A shinki’s ablities play critical role in that. Yukine really does have a rare and an outstanding talent that Yato recognised and he doesn’t want to let him go. And so because of that, he purposely let his condition worsen as what we have seen in the previous episode just to give Yukine a stern wake-up call. Mou, Yato tte ba…

Yukine’s previous action is contagious and only by hearing or seeing it affect other shinki, too. That is what happened to Miyu. Her master, Tenjin-sama cut his bond with her. Shinki used to be human afterall and therefore they are easily affected and if they can’t maintain their borderline, it is easy for the ayakashi to possess them.

What will happen if Yato meets Rabuo? Will there be a big fight happen? Both are called God of Calamity, so if they fight, I wonder who will win and who will lose. Will Bishamon meddling in the fight as well? What happen to Hiyori next? Counting down the days until the next episode airing~
