Review: Noragami_09

I wonder why there has to be a punishment for a Shinki if he/she disobeys the master? The question popped in my mind as I watched how Yukine needed to be punished to save Yato from dying. If you follow the anime show weekly, you know what I mean here. Hiyori desperately trying to save Yato that she herself got the blight. The three of them went to Kofuku’s and Daikoku’s house to ask for help. 

Daikoku, too, was desperately searching two more shinkis in order to perform an ablution, in other words, Yukine needs to be cleansed by confessing and repenting every sins he made. He only managed to get Mayu after she offered to help for as she used to serve Yato when she was called Tomone. 

Could not bear to see Yato suffered, Hiyori rushed out from the house to find a shinki who is willing to help them. So she braved herself to call out for help from Bishamon’s Shrine – Kazuma, of course. The fact that she knew Bishamon hates Yato so much and wanting to kill him. But thanks to Hiyori, the ablution ceremony can be performed. 

Prior to the ceremony, Daikoku and Kazuma questioned Yukine and everyone was shocked to see so many ayakashi or blights that stung Yato badly. Yukine is a teenage boy who is in the stage where he easily rebels, being dishonest and all other negative behaviour a teenager would do. Afterall, this boy is a human before he becomes a shinki to Yato who found him and gave him a name. Moreover, Yato refused to revoke and banish Yukine when Kazuma told him to do that. Instead of saying Yato showed a fatherly attitude toward Yukine, it is more a brotherly attitude. Same goes to Hiyori when she tried to call Yukine back from crossing the path. 

Yukine repented and he cried for making trouble to everyone. The ablution ended pretty well until the next day where you could see Kazuma, Mayu and Daikoku look over-exhausted. Yato apologised to everyone, too, for causing them trouble and he really appreciated everyone’s help especially Hiyori.

You know, Rabuo did appear in the scene that gave Daikoku the shiver after he called Kofuku informing he needed to search for one more shinki. This character also appeared at the last scene. I’m not surprise if Rabuo is the shinki whom Yato slayed years ago. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. However, there’s a hint lies along in words spoken by Nora to Rabuo which make me jumped to this conclusion. Ehehe… Besides, Nora is the one who resurrected him. 

Again, this episode made me cry. It was so touching, really touching. This anime is about to come to its ending. Another three more episode to go before it is officially end for Season 1, I supposed. And so I’m hoping there will be Season 2 in the future as the anime is consistently getting good and interesting every week.  Oh yeah, speaking of Noragami, the manga is in the bestseller corner item in Kinokuniya at the moment besides Shingeki no Kyojin. So far, Kinokuniya is selling Volume 1-10.
