The Seventh Review: Noragami

Each episode of Noragami will sure give Gods a task. Yup... the pace is getting steady every week and slowly it reveals Yato’s dark past. Oho~ the first half of the anime gives lots of information to me. It reveals the name of shinkis that Bishamon has. Overall, there are eight including Kazuma. As the sequence given: Kuraha, Kinuha, Yugiha, Akiha, Karuha, Kazuha, Tsuguha. Cool~!
That was time I thought Bishamon is a cool female kami. By the way, Kazuha calls her 'Veena' besides 'Bishamon-sama' but he uses that namae when they are having conversation involving Yato. Hmm… why is that so? I am really impressed with Kazuma's capability that he can control things around him. This can be seen in the anime when he meets Hiyori on the rooftop. Sensing that the smell doesn’t belong to Yato but Bishamon, Hiyori becomes scared and wants to run away but stops by Kazuma. He hides Hiyori’s presence from Bishamon and Kuraha by putting some spell on her. He even restrains her move. Very fascinating… Hiyori becomes more scared when she sees Bishamon in front of her as the Goddess joins them on the rooftop… not to say sense her presence as well. 

Kazuma seems owing a great deal to Yato and he doesn’t want Yato dies due to the injury he has at the back of his neck. He also adds that Sekki needs to be disposed as soon as possible in order not to give Yato more pain which can cause death to him. Action must be taken before it is too late. Here, too, Kazuma requested Hiyori to help Yato and doesn’t want to lose him.

I finally understand that Nora is actually not a person’s name but a name given to a shinki who has done dirty tasks for the master that the master could not let his own shinki to do. A Nora, too, has multiple masters which is why we can see lots of names on Nora’s body. Basically, a shinki can only have one master and for it to join other master, the current name it has to be dispelled first. It seems that Nora is very detestable. Even Tenjin-sama doesn’t wish to use a Nora.

In the second half of the anime, Yato brings Yukine to do a job in a convenience store. Funny part is that, Yato hits Kofuku with a ladle for what she did in the previous episode and Daikoku gets mad at Yato for hitting his master. Both come to see him to give Yato a task which both are not able to do. Thanks to Hiyori, they able to meet Yato at the shop but then Kofuku and Daikoku have to tend the shop while Yato perform his job to eliminating ayakashi. Hiyori recognizes very well of Yato’s sweet smell. Lol! The girl even advises Yato to treat Yukine not as a shinki but as a human. Yato is surprised by her action of slapping her face first before telling him that.

Sad part is that, Yukine is dumb-founded for stealing money for charity in the store. Yato knows because he feels the pain at the back of his neck. Yukine runs away and ends up meeting Nora. She’s very scary~ she tortures Yukine by saying bad thing about his eyes (perhaps she’s referring to his ability as a shinki). However, Yukine stops her from hurting Yukine even more and tells him to focus on the ookii ayakashi (looks like a moth) instead. But Yato is not able to cut the ayakashi as Sekki turns dull on him. The ayakashi managed to catch Yato but he splashed purification water to it and Yato yells at Nora to leave him. Saying that he has already found his own shinki and he’s going to reforge his shinki. In the end, he is able to cut the ayakashi leaving Nora speechless. 

A new character appears; Rabou voiced by Sakurai Takahiro. I can recognise his voice at instant he starts to talk. Ahaha… already immune with his voice, wth… Noragami is indeed a worth anime to watch afterall. ^,^v
