I have a confession to make… Yes, I
am so in love with Noragami that I make my own review for each episode… Kyaa~
/>_<\ well… weekly; but not right after the airing due to my dynamic
schedule. Gomen nasai~ As you all know now, it is the 5th episode. This
week is about Borderline as the title implies. It is more about
Yukine… Yukine’s past, Yukine’s weakness, Yukine’s power and so on. First
half of the scene is super funny, super interesting and the other half - super drama, super action…
Urgh, mind my English… =,=” Let's see... Yato teaches Yukine about what a shinki can do which is called “Borderline”. It is a power or an ability that a shinki has and only a shinki can do it. It is like a shield to protect the shiki from ayakashi and is created with hate and fear.

Later, Hiyori decides Yukine to stay
with her because she feels that Yato is not giving a proper care to his shinki
and will end up giving bad example to him. And she also feels that Yato has various
kind of relationship with ladies. First, Mayu which she assumes an
ex-girlfriend, then Kofuku as his affair and later Nora when Yato said she is a
friend with benefit. Ahaha…
However, Yato disagrees and so
argument starts. Yukine blushes when Hiyori takes him in her arm… So cute~ ^,^
And Yato screams in pain because he could feel what his shinki feels. Yup, God
shares mind and body together with the shinki. In the end, Yukine chooses
Hiyori and they walk back home to her house. It is a big house. Of course, it
is a big house. Hiyori is from a rich family but she is a down-to-earth kind of
girl, futsu no onna no ko. Yukine gets to sleep in Hiyori’s brother’s room as
he is away. He also gets to take a bath. Thinking that she managed to protect
Yukine from his evil master, Hiyori jumps happily.
But her happiness is crushed when
Yato sneaks into the house with her parents as they get home. The expression is
like… What?! Heh?! Yeah, right! Yato drinks beer with her father, he takes the food
out from the refrigerator and to Yato’s surprise, Hiyori mother can see him at first glance but she
thought she must’ve seen things that she ignores him. Lucky, Yato… if she takes
it seriously and screams, how then?? Hmm…
About Yukine’s weakness… he is
afraid of dark. That’s why he enters Hiyori’s room when her father switched off
the light of the room where he stays. Because of this weakness, he becomes an
easy target for the ayakashi. It’s a very sad scene when Yukine begs Yato to
save the little girl whose soul has been possessed by the ayakashi. Yukine refuses
to cut her, in other word, to release her by slashing the ayakashi. But in the
end both of them manage to set her free. But then, it is really... a sad scene…
seeing Yukine cries… =’(
It's a lovely episode, I am touched! *kirakirame*
